Health insurance in Louisiana has taken an interesting turn over the past two years. An LSU report shows fewer children in the state are uninsured, but more adults are without health insurance.
Kirby Goidel, director of the LSU Public Research Lab, says the 2011 Louisiana Health insurance survey found 16,000 fewer uninsured children than in 2009. But there are also 93,000 more uninsured adults over the same two-year span.
Currently only 3.5% of children in the state are without health insurance.
