New Orleans area residents are reunited with lost funds to the tune of $400,000. State Treasurer John Kennedy says over 5,000 people attended an unclaimed property day Saturday in Metairie. He says one person claimed  $98,000.  Most unclaimed property amounts are around several  hundred dollars.  The money includes funds from bank accounts, payroll checks and insurance proceeds. Kennedy says despite the record day, they still have over 400-million dollars in their unclaimed account.
