Response to Shreveport NYE Police Video Goes International [VIDEO]

The recent, controversial New Year's Eve video showing a downtown confrontation between a Shreveport police officer and an out-of-town visitor has not only gone viral, but international.

In the video, Joshua Lyon of Nashville, Tennessee argues with the officer before, as the back-and-forth becomes more heated, Lyon was taken down by the officer and tased. He was later charged with resisting arrest, public intoxication and interfering with an officer.

The video, which according to some sources has gotten more that two million views, was picked up by The Daily Mail, where readers were divided as to who was at fault. 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty discuss the controversial moment, and quote - in full - a comment made by one Daily Mail reader:

"This I swear to my friends and family: If I am with you and you start approaching police officers who are not doing anything wrong,and you begin cursing them out and refuse to leave when they tell you, I promise that I will drag you away from the situation...

I also promise not to film you being an a*****e to the officers and putting it on social media."
