MONROE, La. (AP) — A plan to build restrooms at six parks and recreation areas has been unveiled in Monroe.

The restrooms would be built at Mount Nebo Park and Marbles, Saul Adler, Henrietta Johnson, Benoit and Linda Benton recreational centers.

Mayor Jamie Mayo says the goal is to open bids on the project in January, with completion projected for the second quarter of 2014.

The cost is expected to be about $250,000.
