Results Of OWI Checkpoint

Lafayette Police along with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department pulled over 843 drivers overnight--checking them for drunk driving.
This time the sobriety checkpoint was in the 2300 block of Johnston Street near Blackham Coliseum.
Of that 843 they checked--17 drivers were pulled over for secondary testing---and 7 of those arrested for OWI.
