Rick Chargois Wants To Be Lafayette Sheriff

He is a former state trooper, and he says he chose to run for office because he believes he has the experience for the job.

Rick Chargois says he grew up in a law enforcement family as his father was also a state trooper.  He says growing up, his family was always surrounded by members of the state police, and he says law enforcement has been his whole life.

Chargois says he wants to make sure that there is more enforcement on the streets of Lafayette Parish if he is elected to be the sheriff of Lafayette.  He says he does compliment the job that current sheriff Mike Neustrom has done, but Chargois says if he wins, he plans to have more enforcement in the parish.
