Rig In Gulf Of Mexico Evacuated

A rig about 108 miles southwest of Lafayette has been evacuated after a loss of well control in the Gulf of Mexico.

Our news partners at KATC say it happened in Vermilion Block 356. The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement says EnVen was operating the rig. Personnel from both the rig and the platform have been evacuated.
