Lane Closures Happening Next Week In Lafayette

Update: The lane closure involving Ambassador Caffery has been cancelled.

Parts of Johnston Street and Ambassador Caffery will be closed in two separated lane closures next week.

First, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, the outside northbound lane of Johnston Street will be closed between Clinton Street and East Grant Street, about a quarter of a mile south of US 90/Evangeline Thruway, just south of the railroad tracks. This closure is necessary for utility work.

Second, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, the outside southbound lane of Ambassador Caffery will be closed between La Neuville Road and Chemin Metairie Road. This closure will be necessary for the construction of a right turn lane.
