There are two great events happening over the next three days in Lafayette. With those great events comes some necessary road/lane closures.

First, Patty in the Parc is Thursday evening. This means Lafayette traffic officials will be closing Polk Street between East Congress Street and Garfield Street from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Next, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will be happening on Friday and Saturday. From 4:00 p.m. Friday till 12:00 p.m. Saturday, the 200 block of Polk Street will be closed. And from 5:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, the 100-200 blocks of Vermilion Street, the 500-600 blocks of Jefferson Street and the 100 block of Taylor Street will all be closed.

For both events, there will be detour routes provided.

Also, the W. Pont Des Mouton Road westbound outside thru lane and the eastbound inside thru lane at Banister Court will be closed starting at 8:15 a.m. Friday through 6:00 a.m. Monday.

One lane of traffic in each direction will be open during construction.
