Rob Guidry has announced his retirement from the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.

Guidry, the current Chamber President and CEO, has been with the organization for 35 years. He won't retire until the end of 2013, giving the Chamber Chairman of the Board, Jerry Greig, ample time to make sure a seamless transition is completed after his successor is found. Greig said,

I commend Rob for his professionalism and transparency in providing the organization with the opportunity to be deliberate and measured in its approach to finding a successor.

Greig says Guidry will remain in his current capacity until his successor is seated. After his retirement, Guidry says he will still remain active in the community.

There are extraordinary opportunities out there. I plan to remain fully engaged in the business and social aspects of the community.
