Robbery Suspect Busted In St. Martin Parish

36 year old Kevin Silas of New Iberia was arrested Monday by St. Martin Parish Sheriff's deputies on one count of theft over $500. Silas's arrested followed a previous arrest in New Iberia for possession of stolen firearms. Investigators determined that Silas was doing remodeling work on a home where the firearm theft occurred. Three firearms and other items were recovered. Silas was booked into the St. Martin Parish jail and bonded out on a $2,500 bond.
