Ronald Sovine Named Jeanerette’s Outstanding Citizen Of The Year

Internet technology consultant Ronald Sovine will be honored Friday as the Jeanerette Chamber of Commerce's Outstanding Citizen of the Year.

Sovine, who has been a Jeanerette resident since 2001, serves in various organizations and most recently helped organize the first "Jeanerette Live" event.

He and others will be honored at the Chamber's 59th Annual Outstanding Achiever's Banquet at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 at the Ward 8 Recreation Center in Jeanerette located at 803 Hubertville Rd.
