The Saints had a glaring need at the guard position, and they made a big move in free agency to help beef up their offensive line.

Larry Warford started all 57 games he played for the Detroit Lions, and the 25-year old guard is a promising young player. The 6'-3", 317 lb Kentucky grad is a major addition up front for the Saints.

Warford battled some injury issues, but if he's healthy, the Saints will get a nasty guard early in his career. It might not be the move New Orleans fans expected, but it's the best decision Loomis made this offseason.
