The New Orleans Saints came into this game riding a six game winning streak and looking to roll into Orchard Park and make it seven wins in a row.

This Bills defense has been extremely stingy and very opportunistic so far this season and we were curious as to how the Saints offense would attack.

Well, we found out early and often, run the football. In this game the New Orleans Saints rushed the ball for 298 total yards, six touchdowns, and had four different rushers score a touchdown.

Mark Ingram account for 131 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns, Alvin Kamara an extremely efficient 106 yards on 12 carries and one touchdown. In addition, rookie Trey Edmunds got into the rushing fun in mop up duty, carrying the ball 9 times for 48 yards and a score. Drew Brees also added two carries for six yards and a rushing touchdown.

As far as receiving goes, Michael Thomas didn't get in on the scoring but was able to be very effective in this game catching nine passes on ten targets for 117 yards. The Saints offense as a whole compiled nearly 500 total yards (482), while Buffalo managed just under 200 (198).

If you were looking for a complete game for the Saints, this was the game for you. A complete domination over the Buffalo Bills 47-10.

We mentioned how efficient the running game and the offense was but talk about how good the defense played in this one silencing every weapon on the Buffalo side.

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor was just 9/18 passing for a mere 56 yards... Running back LeSean McCoy only ran the ball eight times for 49 yards keeping him and newly minted number one wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin in check.

Sheldon Rankings had himself an interception, the defense had five tackles for loss, two sacks, and five more passes defended.

Another big factor in this game was third down efficiency. On offense the Saints were right at 50% as they completed 6/12 attempts while the Saints defense was able to get off the field on third down holding the Bills to just 2/11.

The Saints make in seven wins in a row and improve their record to 7-2 and continue to sit atop the NFC South by themselves.

What's on tap next for New Orleans is a match-up with the Washington Redskins at home next Sunday at noon.
