New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees

 

The New Orleans Saints are back home at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sunday afternoon, when they play host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in an NFC Southern Division match-up.

Both teams are will be looking to snap three-game losing streaks, with New Orleans falling to the New York Giants last week, 52-27, to drop to 5-8 on the year, while Tampa Bay lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, 23-21, to fall to 6-7.

The Saints defeated the Buccaneers, 35-28, back on October 21, in Tampa Bay, Florida, in the first of the two meetings between the two teams.

New Orleans is led by quarterback Drew Brees, who has thrown for 4,028 yards and 32 touchdowns this year, while quarterback Josh Freeman paces the Tampa Bay attack, with 3,192 passing yards, along with 25 touchdowns.

Offensively, the Saints rank third in the NFL, averaging 394.2 yards-per-game, while the Bucs rank 13th, averaging 356.8 yards a contest.

Defensively, both team have struggled, with Tampa Bay ranking 29th, allowing 389.8 yards-a-game, while New Orleans ranks last,giving up an average of 436.9 yards a contest.

The Saints lead the all-time series, 24-17.

Kick-off time is set for noon.
