A former second-round NFL Draft pick paid a visit to the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday.

A native of London, England, Melifonwu moved to the U.S. at the age of 3, before later graduating from high school in Massachusetts.

The 6-foot-4 225-pound Melifonwu played his college football at Connecticut, where he recorded 118 tackles and four interceptions as a senior, before being selected by the Raiders in the second-round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

In five games with the Raiders last season, including one start, Melifonwu compiled 7 tackles.

The 24-year old Melifonwu was placed on injured reserve by the Raiders prior to the start of the current season, being being released on October 23.

In addition, the Saints also worked out defensive ends Robert Ayers, Tank Carridine, and Will Clarke, as well as cornerback Marcus Williams.
