Saints Sign Darryl Tapp & Kendall Langford

The New Orleans Saints added some help to their defensive line on Wednesday.

The team signed defensive ends Darryl Tapp and Kendall Langford.

An 11-year veteran, Tapp spent 2016 with the Saints, totaling 17 tackles, including a half sack, in 16 games, including two starts, before being cut by the team before this year's season opener.

The 33-year-old Tapp, a native of Portsmouth, Virginia, has accumulated 28 career sacks.

The 31-year-old Langford, a third-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2008, spent four years in Miami, prior to playing three years with the St. Louis Rams.

In one other move on Wednesday, the Saints promoted defensive tackle David Parry from the practice squad to fill the place of defensive tackle Mitchell Loewen, who was placed on injured reserve.
