New Orleans Saints running back Khiry Robinson is a restricted free agent.

The Saints won't offer him a contract tender, electing to let him test the open market.

While not offering him a restricted tender doesn't necessarily mean Robinson won't be back with New Orleans, it didn't take long for him to offer a goodbye on his twitter account. It also didn't take him long to delete the goodbye.

His tweet read: "Been Real New Orleans. Best 3yrs of my life: thanks for helping my career get started, I came from nothing but I'ma end up something."

Robinson has shown flashes of great play in his opportunities, making the roster as an undrafted free agent 3 seasons ago.

Last season, he was playing well before suffering a devastating injury when he fractured his tibia in last October's win over the New York Giants.

In three years with New Orleans, Robinson has rushed for 766 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Mark Ingram, C.J. Spiller and Marcus Murphy are all running backs currently under contract with the Saints.

Veteran free agents Tim Hightower and Travaris Cadet spent time on the roster last season, and could be potential targets for the Saints this offseason if Robinson signs elsewhere.
