Sandbag Pickup Information For Tropical Storm Lee

Here is information on sandbag availability in Iberia, Lafayette, St. Martin, and Vermillion Parishes.

In Lafayette, sandbags are available for pickup at the 400 Dorset location of Lafayette Consolidated Government's Public Works Department. The entrance is from Dorset Avenue off of Pinhook Road only, not from University Avenue. They're available now till 5pm today and tomorrow from 8 am till noon. Public Works says they have about 4,000 bags to give out so get them while they have them. There's a limit of 20 bags per vehicle...again get them while they are available.
Also, public works sites on Fortune Road and Shantel Road will be open tomorrow from 8 am till noon until all sandbags are handed out.
In Scott, Sandbags are being passed out right now till 6 pm at the Maintenance Building at 118 Lions Club Road (across from the street from City Hall). Scott Residents must show I.D. Tomorrow, they'll be giving sandbags out from 8 am till 1 pm at the same location.

In St. Martin Parish, sandbags are being handed out now till 5 pm and tomorrow from 7 am till at multiple locations. In Breaux Bridge, you can pick up your sandbags at North Barn at Grand Point Hwy & North Barn Road, and at Ruth Barn at 1035 Ruth Bridge Hwy. In St. Martinville, you can go to the South Barn on Capritto-Forty Arpent Road. And in Stephensville, you can go to the Stephensville Water Plant at Tower Tank Road. Additional times for sandbag availability will be announced as more information on the storm becomes available. Residents should be prepared to fill their own sandbags.

In Iberia Parish, sand and sand bags are available now at the B.O.M Fire Station, the Delcambre City Barn, Grand Marais Volunteer fire Station, the Loreauville Park, and the Rynella Volunteer Fire Station.

In Vermillion Parish, sand and sand bags are available these locations  starting today: Across from Erath City Hall at 115 West Edwards Street in Erath; Area 2 Barn at 12002 Calvin Lebouef Road in Abbeville; Area 3 Barn at 19419 Veterans Memorial Drive in Gueydan; Area 4 Barn at 13531 Gladu Road in Kaplan; and at the Public Works Barn at 22111 Leonie Street in Abbeville. Sandbags will be located outside of the facility fencing for easy access.
