Early Saturday morning, a Louisiana State Trooper's vehicle was was involved in a crash on Highway 90 in Lake Charles.

The LSP car, driven by Senior Trooper Scott Farris, was crossing through a flashing intersection with yellow lights, while 18-year-old Anisha McClinton of Lake Charles didn't stop at her flashing red lights at the intersection.

The crash caused all four passengers in McClinton's vehicle to receive minor to moderate injuries. None of them were wearing seat belts. McClinton also received injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Trooper Farris was buckled up and didn't have any injuries.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor and McClinton was charged with DWI, disregarding a flashing red signal, and failure to wear a seat belt.Toxicology tests are still pending.
