LAFAYETTE, LA.; August 17, 2016 - Schilling Distributing and Anheuser-Busch are partnering to deliver over 50,000 cans of emergency drinking water to residents and relief workers dealing with flood damage in the Acadiana area. The water is scheduled to arrive at Schilling Distributing Wednesday afternoon, and from there it will be delivered to shelters and pickup locations throughout Acadiana.

"Schilling Distributing is committed to supporting the Acadiana region, and we are proud to be able to assist the recovery effort by helping to provide clean drinking water to our neighbors during this trying time," said Buddy Schilling, Vice President of Schilling Distributing. "We want to extend a huge thanks to our partners at Anheuser-Busch for stepping up without hesitation to help make this happen. It is a privilege to work with a brewery that is willing to get involved at the local level when times are tough."

Eight pallets will be delivered to the United Way office in Lafayette at 3pm on Wednesday, August 17th. These will be distributed by United Way to several shelter locations throughout Acadiana over the coming days based on need. Schilling will also be making deliveries to several locations that have been directly impacted on Thursday, August 18th including Abbeville, Breaux Bridge, Crowley, Kaplan, New Iberia, Opelousas and Youngsville. We are working with local city agencies in each of these areas to determine the best drop locations and will be updating our social media accounts with more details as they become available.

Anheuser-Busch will also be sending truckloads of drinking water to Mockler Beverage in Baton Rouge to help aid flood victims in that area.

Anheuser-Busch has helped disaster victims since 1906, when Adolphus Busch donated funds to help San Francisco earthquake victims.
