Some items stolen during a burglary of a car on Dubac Road in Scott were recovered this week, and Treyvon Sam was arrested for the crime.

Scott Police Chief Chad Leger says the crime was reported on Wednesday, December 3, and when the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office was serving a warrant, they found a stolen back pack.

Scott Police say Sam admitted to the burglary.

The victim's check book and some other item were recovered, but Sam claims the victim's electronic items were stolen from him after he stole them from the victim.

Sam was booked on a charge of simple burglary from Scott Police and several other charges from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office.

Leger says they will continue to try to find the victim's property, and he says their investigation into the burglary is still going on.
