Scott Man Dies In Single Vehicle Crash

At 3:30pm today Louisiana State Police investigated a single vehicle crash on LA 723 that claimed the life of 33 year old Cortney LeBlanc of Scott.

The accident is still under investigation but investigators determined that LeBlanc was approaching Encore Lane when his pickup truck ran off the road and struck a culvert. LeBlanc was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries and died from those injuries.

LeBlanc was not wearing a seat belt. It's not know if impairment was a factor in the crash but toxicology samples were submitted to the State Police Crime Lab.
