Thursday, April 12, 2012: An accused thief that Lafayette Police have been looking for has turned himself in. Cpl. Paul Mouton says Arthur Savoy has been booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for allegedly stealing jewelry from a home in Broussard and selling $3,000 worth of it to several Lafayette businesses.

Wednesday, April 11, 2012: Lafayette Police are looking for a man accused of selling thousands of dollars worth of stolen jewelry to several Lafayette businesses.

Corporal Paul Mouton says 28-year-old Arthur Savoy of Scott is believed to have stolen the jewelry from a home in Broussard. Mouton says Savoy is alleged to have sold $3,000 worth of the jewelry between January of 2012 and February of 2012.

Mouton says Savoy has 16 warrants out for Theft by Fraud and Illegal Possession of Stolen Goods.
