Scott Parents Arrested For Sexual Abuse Incidents

A Scott man has been arrested for allegedly molesting his 11-year-old step-daughter on at least three occasions.

Scott Police Chief Chad Leger said 37-year-old Joshua Chaisson was arrested for three counts of molestation of a juvenile after police were notified of inappropriate sexual encounters with the victim.

The child's mother, 37-year-old Lucy Chaisson was also arrested on principal to molestation of a juvenile and obstruction of justice because Leger said she was aware of the abuse but did not report it to authorities.

The pair was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
