Scott Police Investigating Body Found On West Willow

SCOTT, La. (KPEL) -- Police in Scott are investigating an apparent homicide after a body was discovered on West Willow Street earlier Friday morning.

Scott Police Chief Chad Leger told KATC TV-3 that a Lafayette Police officer discovered the body at around 5 a.m. on West Willow just west of Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

The victim was reportedly shot and was dead, Leger told the television station.

The identity of the deceased will be released once police notify the next of kin.
