Update: Troy A. Joseph, turned himself in to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on Tuesday. Joseph bonded out of LPCC later that afternoon and will appear in the 15th Judicial Court at a later date.

Update: Scott Police are identifying the accused crawfish thief as 52-year-old Troy Anthony Joseph of Lafayette, thanks to tips from the public.

Scott Police are looking for the man that walked away with $300 worth of crawfish from Best Stop Monday afternoon. According to Scott Police Chief Chad Leger the man pulled a white trash bag from his pocket and filled it with 20 bags of frozen crawfish. Leaving the store without paying the suspect left the parking lot in a black Chrysler 300.
