Scott police are after an armed robbery suspect who targeted the Home Bank at 5543 Cameron St. this morning.

"We have a few suspects, and we're very pleased that we had a few people call in already with potential suspect information that we're following up on at this time," said Scott Police Chief Chad Leger.

Leger said a white male standing between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-5 inches tall entered the bank around 10:30 a.m. and produced a semi-automatic handgun when he demanded the teller put money in his bag. He then fled the bank on bike and ditched it behind the nearby Piggly Wiggly shopping center. Leger said it's unknown how he fled from there.

No one was injured in the incident.

Leger said the suspect was wearing a tan hat with a camouflage bill, a white T-shirt with the word "relay" written in red on it, khaki pants, white tennis shoes and a black bandana around his face. He also has a large tattoo on his left forearm that police are in the process of identifying.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Scott police.
