Saints Head Coach Sean Payton took a step on Monday night towards ending speculation he could coach somewhere else next season. During an appearance on his own coach's show on WWL Radio in New Orleans, Payton said it's his plan to definitely to be back in New Orleans next season.

"Shoot, I've got four more years on my contract here. And I plan on honoring that," Payton said.

There's been multiple reports that Payton could be traded during the offseason, with the Los Angeles Rams mentioned as one possible landing spot.

Quarterback Drew Brees said that reports of Payton leaving have been completely made up and said it comes with the territory when you don't make the playoffs.
"We are in a results driven business," Brees said. "When the expectation level is playoffs and anytime you fall short of what your expectations or your goals are, than obviously there's going to be speculation."
Payton signed a five-year contract that pays him over 9-million dollars a season last year.
