The New Orleans Saints issued a statement in response to President Trump's comments on NFL players who sit or kneel during the national anthem.

Trump's criticism of the NFL for being "boring" along with his choice words for players who kneel or sit during the national anthem triggered a response from all but 2 NFL organizations expressing their disappointment in the President's remarks.

In addition to the official statements from their respective teams, many players, coaches, and owners have personally responded to Trump's comments including Saints quarterback Drew Brees and head coach Sean Payton.

Brees stated while he doesn't agree with the president's remarks, he will "never sit" for the national anthem, while Payton was a little more critical of the commander-in-chief calling for more "wisdom" in the White House.

Mixed reactions continue among Saints fans and fans of football in general with some vowing to never watch an NFL game again to others who say the peaceful protest from players doesn't affect their decisions in the slightest.

If you're a Saints fan, have the events over the weekend affected your support for the team?

Will you stop watching NFL games due to national anthem protests?
