It's been nearly two months since Paul Pastorek stepped down as state superintendent of education and the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education has yet to name a permanent replacement. BESE Member Walter Lee says acting superintendent Ollie Tyler will likely keep the job for the rest of the year. The governor is still pushing for Recovery School District Superintendent John White to replace Pastorek, but Lee says the votes are not there.
