The search is on for South Louisiana Community College's third chancellor in the school's 13-year history.

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but the target date for submissions is Oct. 19. That's according to Louisiana Community and Technical College System's website.

Kizzy Payton, LCTCS director of public information, says the Association of Community College Trustees is handling the SLCC chancellor search at a fee of $30,000.

The association is also overseeing the search for Baton Rouge Community College's next chancellor. The target date for those applications is Wednesday.

SLCC enrolls more than 4,000 students and also has instructional sites in New Iberia, Franklin and Hessmer.
