It looks like "Cajun Justice" is coming to a end after a short run - and ratings don't appear to be a factor.

The Louisiana reality TV show has been on A&E for only one season. It features the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office taking down the bad guys. But with a new sheriff in town come changes, and that includes the promise that his deputies won't be featured on the show.

Sheriff Jerry Larpenter has repeatedly turned down offers to continue the program on A&E. He says one offer was for $10,000 an episode, up from $1,500 per episode that former Sheriff Vernon Bourgeios (pictured above with his deputies) was paid.

The season and most likely series finale is scheduled for Thursday of next week.
