Senate Approves Multi-Billion Dollar Budget

The Senate has approved a 24.9 billion dollar budget that restores roughly 200-million dollars in cuts made by the House. House Bill 1 now contains funding that doesn't rely on selling state prisons, taking tobacco settlement money to fund the TOPS scholarship program or assessing state employees more for retirement benefits.
