The state Senate began its work today on the $25-billion budget bill, passed last week in the House. Political analyst John Maginnis, with "LAPolitics.com", expects to see changes made right away.  Maginnis expects to see Senators restore many parts of Governor Jindal's proposed budget that were cut by House members in recent weeks. He says compromise on a balanced state budget will take up the 3 & 1/2 weeks
left in the session.  Maginnis predicts the budget bill eventually passed by the Senate will not sit well with House members. He says, as usual, it will probably be the last day of the session before both chambers agree on a budget to send to Governor Jindal.
