Senator David Vitter on 'Mornings With Ken & Bernie' said a number of people in Franklinton, Louisiana had contacted his office and said they had never been contacted or surveyed during the last census.  Vitter said he was concerned that errors in the 2010 census were made that affect Louisiana's Congressional Districts.

Vitter said, “This could be a major screw-up that is all the more glaring given the fact that Louisiana is losing a Congressional seat as a result of the most recent census. “If the Census Bureau failed to count some Louisiana citizens, we need to know immediately.”

In a November 2011 letter to Census Bureau Director Robert Groves Vitter demanded a formal, written and more detailed response but as of yet has not gotten satisfactory answers.  In that letter Vitter asked how many people were involved and were there any other towns or parishes not counted.
