Livonia Senator Rob Marionneaux said he'll make his decision on whether or not to run this fall against Governor Bobby Jindal around the first of August.

UL-Lafayette Political Science professor Pearson Cross says if Marionneaux does decide to face Jindal, he has an enormous financial challenge ahead.  Some reports say Jindal has raised nearly 10 million dollars in campaign contributions and Cross says Marionneaux would have to start from scratch. Cross says it's also not ceartin democrats in the state would throw their support behind Marionneaux.    Cross says that even though Marionneaux would have a big challenge facing Jindal, anything could change between now and the October 22nd primary.
