There will be more campaigning to go this fall, as there are several run-off elections in the Acadiana area.  They include a congressional election along with several smaller elections in a few areas.

Congressmen Jeff Landry and Charles Boustany will be campaigning through Saturday, December 8th after neither one of them was able to get more than fifty percent of the vote in last night's election.  Congressman Boustany earned 45 percent of the vote, while Congressman Landry earned 30 percent of the vote.  There has been no word yet on whether or not Democrat Ron Richard will endorse either one of the candidates.

  • Randy Wagley – 43 percent
  • Armand Castille – 38 percent

 
City Marshal for the City Court of Kaplan 
General election results:

  • Ruby Thibeaux – 43 percent
  • Brody Mouton – 25 percent

 
St. Mary Parish - Mayor of Morgan City
General election results:

  • Frank "Boo" Grizzaffi – 35 percent
  • Lee Dragna – 19 percent
