Shaquille O'Neal has pledged to help Lafayette High School.

The former LSU-great posted a video saying that help is on the way when it comes to raising funds for the new Lafayette High School weight room.

According to the Daily Advertiser, Shaq pledged to make a donation to the school via the South Louisiana Giving Day.

The school reportedly needs $42,000 for the new facility, with $21,000 coming from the Lafayette Parish School Board. The school system will match what is given through the SOLA Giving Day.

Now, the school needs additional funds to reach its goal and it looks like Shaq has the school's back!!

The SOLA GIving Day encourages citizens to come together and raise funds for non-profit organizations, schools, and/or churches. To make a donation visit SouthLouisianaGivingDay.org today. You have until May 9th to take part in this great cause.

What do you think Shaq has up his sleeve? I have a good feeling about this one, but I'll wait until it's official to say what Shaquille O'Neal does here.

Geaux Shaq!
