A Sulphur Sheriff's Deputy was killed yesterday after a four car pile up on highway 1256. A car driven by Charles Harrell crossed the center line and collided head on with Deputy Randall Benoit. The initial crash brought Michelle M. LeBlanc and Cody Goodner into the crash after they didn't have enough time to avoid the accident.

Deputy Benoit wasn't wearing a seat-belt and suffered life threatening injuries and died in a local hospital. Harrel is in critical condition at a local hospital.

Leblanc and Goodner suffered minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
