Sheriff’s Office Seeking Friday Night Shooting Suspect

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect involved in a Friday night shooting.

Sheriff's spokesperson Capt. John Babin reported that around  11 p.m. Friday deputies responded to a shooting that occurred in a trailer park on Roper Road near Scott.

Deputies found one male victim shot several times. He was transported to a local hospital and treated for his injuries. His condition has not been reported.

Several witnesses observed a white Dodge Charger leaving the scene after the shooting.
