Shooting In St. Mary Parish

Deputies with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department are investigating a shooting which occurred at the Plantation Inn in Bayou Vista around 8:30 this morning.

Deputies report that a male subject is in one of the units and a female victim of the shooting has been transported to a New Orleans hospital for treatment, according to our news partners at KATC. Deputies await the arrival of a coroner as they continue their investigation.
