Shooting Incident Being Investigated In Iberia Parish

Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputies were called out to investigate a shooting incident in the 700 block of Touriac Street.

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal says there was some sort of altercation in the area of Frenzel and Touriac Streets shortly before the shooting was reported to police.

The people involved in the altercation said they were running into a home on Touriac Street to get away from the situation, and once they were inside, they said they heared shots fired.

The bullets started hitting the outside of the house, but no one was injured.

Detectives say they are still investigating the incident.
