Shooting On Lafayette’s Van Buren Street

Lafayette Police are working to track down a suspect in a shooting that happened in the 100 block of Van Buren Street around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Lafayette Police say the suspect went up to a man on the street and asked him for money.

Police say the suspect then shot the man, and the victim is in critical condition at a local hospital.

The suspect fled the area.  The black male suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants.
