The Lafayette Police Department was called out to hospital at around 11 o'clock last night to talk to someone who was being treated for a gunshot wound.

While the man is said to be in stable condition, Corporal Karl Ratcliff says all of this started during a fight that happened on the grounds of a mobile home park.

Police say this man was shot during some sort of situation at a home in the 100 block of Hebert Road.

Very few details are known at this time, but they are working to figure out all of the details that led up to the shooting.
