SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — A Shreveport dentist has been charged with fraudulently billing Louisiana's Medicaid program.

Louisiana Attorney General James "Buddy" Caldwell's office says 48-year-old Charles S. Williams Jr. was arrested Tuesday on 16 counts of Medicaid fraud and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Caldwell's office Thursday said Williams allegedly billed the program for services, including oral surgeries and gum grafts, that he didn't perform in 2008 and 2009.
