Shreveport's "Facebook Live killer" pleads guilty to First Degree Murder.

Johnathan Robinson has been awaiting trial, on First Degree Murder charges, over the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend Rannita Williams, live on Facebook, in a home in Shreveport. Robinson shot Williams in April of 2018.

Multiple times during his court appearances, Robinson has attempted to plead guilty, or has interrupted the judge in an effort to speed up the trial process. Robinson's appearances in court have been slowed due to a lack of public defenders who are certified for death penalty cases, mostly due to funding for the program.

Today's guilty plea is being described as a surprise move by some who have been following the court proceedings. Robinson will now face life in prison without the possibility of parole, as the death sentence has been taken off the table in his case through his plea deal.
