Simcoe Street Shooting Suspect Arrested On Attempted Murder Charge

Lafayette Police have arrested the suspect in a March shooting. LPD spokesman Corporal Karl Ratcliffe says 31-year-old Amandeus Alex of Lafayette is accused of shooting a victim at a business in the 1100 block of E. Simcoe Street. Tips led detectives to his vehicle that was allegedly seen fleeing the scene of the shooting on March 18th. Alex has been booked for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.
