"Slap Ya Mama" Seasoning Banned By NFL

“The Lafayette Food Junkie Show,” which airs from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday nights here on Newstalk 96.5 KPEL, gives Lafayette and the Acadiana area its own show dedicated to the food we all love to enjoy and talk about!

On Sunday’s show, Tiffiany Decou, “The Lafayette Food Junkie,” and Chef Zach Doise continued their coverage of “Clash of the Cocktails.” The competition features mixologists from five popular local restuarants who will compete against each other on September 5 at the Madison in Broussard. Proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana.

This week, Tanner Ducote with Jolie's joined Tiffiany and Chef Zach to talk about "Clash of the Cocktails." In addition to talking about the contest, they talked about crazy things bartenders see and also compared drinks to each other.

It was also a night of much discussion on the show, as the crew discussed the NFL banning "Slap Ya Mama" seasoning from being advertised on New Orleans Saints games.
