‘So God Made a Cajun’ Honors Cajun Navy for Flood Rescue Efforts

Inspired by Paul Harvey's 'So God Made a Farmer' speech at the 1978 Future Farmers of American convention, Dixon Wallace McMakin, aka LSU Elvis, created this video honoring the Cajun Navy. This unofficial group of sportsmen and women has rescued thousands during hurricanes and, most recently, in the August floods in Louisiana.
